Choose Your Perfume According to the Season

Perfume is a cherished possession and has become a fashion statement for most of us. To stand out from the crowd just by the way we smell, some of us end up spraying too much perfume, which become suffocating for others.

If for some reason when you enter a room everyone else finds a reason to get out of it, then it’s time to invest in a new scent. Best is to choose your perfume according to the season because it blends better with the climate. If you think your expensive designer perfume is right for every occasion, then you are wrong. Certain fragrances are appropriate for particular seasons and wearing these all seasons can irritate people around you.

Don’t wear heavy fragrances during the summer as these can be overpowering when mix with body sweat. If you sweat a lot, wear something nice and light. You just need to spray them whenever you step out and these will keep you fresh. Colognes with citrus, floral, fruity fragrances can enhance your mood.

During winter, you can go for heavier scents as you don’t sweat that much during this time. Go with the say “less is more” in the colder months. Perfumes with oriental notes of sandalwood and patchouli are perfect for chilly days and nights.

Summer & Fall
For the warm season my personal favorite fragrances are:
Christian Dior “J'adore” - refreshing, flowery fragrance, blend of floral orchids, violets, rose and blackberry musk
Chanel “Chance”  - sweet, sensual floral scent
Versace “Versense” - woody floral musk

For guys during the warm seasons I prefer these scents:
Lacoste “Essential” - citrus, fruity scent
Giorgio Armani “Acqua Di Gio” - woody aromatic with cascalone, bergamot, grapefruit, paradisone, jasmine, basil, sage, patchouli, atlas cedar, vetiver and ambrox
Givenchy “Play Sport” - amyris wood, spiced with pepper, fresh aromas of bergamot, ginger, mint and lemon leaf, musky

Winter & Spring
For the cold seasons I love these perfumes:
Dolce & Gabbana “Light Blue “ - enticing blend of jasmine, bamboo, white rose, amber and musk
Prada “Candy” - white musks, noble benzoin with a modern caramel touch
Burberry “Body” - fresh, green touch of absinthe, hints of peach and freesia, sandalwood, woody cashmeran, creamy vanilla and musk

During the cold seasons these fragrances for men are exactly what I like:
Gucci “Gucci by Gucci” - crisp freshness, masculine floralcy, cypress, calone, violet, bergamot, a subtly sweet note of tobacco, black pepper, woody layers of patchouli, cedarwood and amyris
Paco Rabanne “1 Million” - fresh and sensual blend
Jean Paul Gaultier “Le Male” - mint, lavender and bergamot, cinnamon, cumin, orange blossom, vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood and cedarwood
The changing seasons can give you the perfect excuse to experiment with your fragrance wardrobe and you will definitely feel more attractive, confident and smell better. No doubt perfume is a personal choice but it is also essential to choose seasonal and have others admire your sense of style.

A change in your scent can also remind you to enjoy the beauty of each particular season!
